Today I got an unexpected treat! Our fifth grade was having a visitor come and bring tide pool animals and they invited us to join them. It was fun to watch the kids hold the animals. Some of the kids were afraid to touch them and it was fun to see them muster up the courage to touch or even hold them! It was a nice surprise/break from teaching and it was such a great opportunity for the kids to interact with animals they might not have had the chance to learn about. I'm thankful for surprises like these!
