Gardening

 5-17-11

Today after school I went out into the garden to add some climbing space for the peas and beans.  They have gotten pretty tall and were reaching for anything to grab on to.  So I attached a net from the garden to the fence for the vines to grow on.  We'll see if it works!

While I was out there I noticed some of the plants have vegetables growing on them!  I knew this would happen eventually (at least I hoped it would!) but it is fun to see it actually happening.  This picture is of the peas.

This one is a zucchini.  Most of these veggies start off with a beautiful flower before the vegetable starts to grow.  It has been fun to watch the plants sprout, flower, and now produce!  I can't wait to taste them!
