Today Tracy and I went birding! (I recently learned, from a legit birding movie, The Big Year, that it's not called "bird watching" but it's called "birding" and we are not "bird watchers" we are "birders"... ;) We took our bird books and our binoculars out to the Bolsa Chica Wetlands in Huntington Beach. The Bolsa Chica Wetlands is one of the top places in the US to look at birds so we figured we needed to go there! We saw some common (but still beautiful) birds and some that I hadn't seen before. It was just the type of day I needed. We headed out to see some nature and that's just what we got...about 20 birds in one day is a pretty good day! We are on our way to our Big Year!
